I don’t personally like any of the casting, dimitri should be RUSSIAN, rose half turkish/half Scottish, lissa should be tall and blonde, etc
The casting is the least of the shows issues at this point. The acting is horrific, the plot is a whole mess and don’t get me started on the whole ‘dominion’ bullshit. The characters are nothing like the books personality wise or physically, it’s basically vampire academy in name only. I could go on….
How you can call yourself a va fan and support the show I have no idea.
It bothers me very much that Julie Plec and her team are making an entire new language for Vampire Academy when the main three languages in the series are English, Russian and Romanian.
Yes. It bothers me. I am Romanian, I am speaking Romanian and MANY characters in the Vampire Academy series are supposed to have Romanian heritage.
Adrian Ivashkov is supposed to be Romanian.
Tatiana Ivashkov is supposed to be Romanian.
Daniella Ivashkov is supposed to be Romanian.
Lissa is of Romanian descendant. Ffs, her name is 100% Romanian.
They speak Romanian in the series and “Mana” is a big part in the third book.
Dimitri is supposed to be Russian.
His whole family is supposed to be Russian.
Almost all of the fourth book happens in Russia.
And yet, for some stupid fucking reason they are making a completly new language… Well… let me tell you something Julie…
